Sfc

For my 96 WS6 M6 TA. Would SFC make that much of a difference on my daily driver? As far as handling, smooth, traction... etc

Re: Sfc

I think it would. My SFC's are the best mod i've done yet. It really stiffened up the suspension and everything feels like its working in unison. Less creaks too. Just gives your car an overall solid ride. Try to find a GP and you'll get them at a decent price.

Re: Sfc

In my opinion its the best and first mod you should do. I had some KBDDs put in my 94 and they have been one of the best things I ever did to the car.

Re: Sfc

They need to be professionally installed right? Welded into spot?

Re: Sfc

Yes, professionally installed if you don't have a welder or the know-how. ANY subframes will make a night/day difference. I welded on some basic boxed tubing from front to rear, and when jacking the car from one corner, it doesn't take much beyond that first tire coming off the ground that the other end is coming off the ground either.

Re: Sfc

I would also suggest a Strut tower brace. I couldn't tell THAT much of a difference with my subframes, but I Noticed a significant difference with the STB.

You didn't mention if you had ttops or convertible either. The SFC's are DEFINATELY worth it on wither of those 2 models.

Re: Sfc

Not stealing the post! But I'm very interested in SFC's as well. Any recommendations?

My T/A creeks badly, esp. from the rear. And I'm looking to stiffen up the ride as well. (SFCs + better suspension)

Re: Sfc

Id go with BMR subframes... I have the boxed version and a friend of mine has the tubular. You can actually read BMR on the side of my subframes walking up the car.. they hang that low.. whereas tubular are tucked up out of sight. Something else I havent seen mentioned yet is that these need to be installed on a drive-on type lift instead of a body lift because you need load on the suspension.

Re: Sfc

subframe connectors are very very nice for the money they cost to buy/install. My personal favorite suspension/chassis mod I have done. mine are BMR tubular weld-in ones. BMR is the only brand name I go with for suspension stuff.
