Setting Up Harlan Shiftlight

Just got mine and was wondering how you do all the electrical work. I can find a place for the ground and I guess will put the power to a fuse that is on all the time. I know how to program it. What about the green wire? Where do I connect this one? Also, Im mounting it in the a-pillar, how do I take it off? Just pull and it unsnaps out and back in?

You should use a switched 12v source for your power (ie something that is only on when the key is on.) The green should be for the rpm reference. If you have an ignition box like an MSD you can use the tach output from that. If not, you have to use one of the coil wires, though I can not remember which. Maybe white

The white wire in C230 cavity D the tach feed from the PCM. http://shbox.com/1/keyless_entry.jpg
It should be the same on a 96 but I'm not sure.

Re: Setting Up Harlan Shiftlight

I finished my work last night after searching through many sites. After many readings I noticed everyone was saying it was a white wire out of the red harness of the PCM, yet it was always a different pin every time. For anyone that needs to know it was the white wire coming out of the red hanress (A or D, pin 15, I think) of the PCM. Easy install!
