set idle for a 306?

I just rebuilt my engine and put a 306 cam in it which was tuned by pcmforless. It is set to idle at 1000 rpm's, would it hurt if I get it set at 800rpm's? Could this low of rpm's cause the engine to be more shakey and in return cause me to not have much engine life? Also I guess I can't use the idle screw to do this, right? Thanks for any help.

Re: set idle for a 306?

If ya are using the factory tach to say what it is idling at,it is probably wrong. If ya got no drive ability problems I would leave it alone.
