Unhappy SES light .... vacuum leak sound... rough idle at startup?!

Hey guys, after I put that hypertech 95 chip in my 96 I took it out IMMEDIATELY , but now I idle REALLY rough at startup (from 500-1000 rpm spikes) and I have to keep the gas on a little for about 20 seconds , then it evens out and idles fine until I shut it off and try to restart it again, then I have the same problems. I also notice a vacuum leak sound when I am DRIVING only. At idle it sounds fine under the hood, but when I drive the leak sounds SO loud that I can hear it over my flowmasters IN the car!!!! It must be behind the engine near the firewall?! Whats back there to make the sound/leak? Is that probably why the SES light is coming on? ( to tell me about the vacuum leak? ). Should I take it to the shop since I dont see any cracked or disconnected lines, or did the wrong chip mess up my pcm and make it not be able to set the idle specs until I gas it for 20 seconds in neutral? Its so bad that if I dont put my foot on the gas at first it will stall over and over and wont idle ITSELF. Thanks-

Take it to Autozone and have them pull the code. Get the exact code number then post what it is. Autozone has the capability to give you a printout of the code and the possible causes. You'll probably have to ask them to do it.

I actually posted in another thread, that I went to Auto Zone today and they said that the computer was giving back an "error link connection" return signal. Then he said he THOUGHT he heard a vacuum leak, lol.....but wasnt sure. I will post it if I can get my computer to stop acting up ( the emissions place said 4 things returned "not ready" signals from the pcm ).
