I got a code 29 on my 95z. They told me it was for the air pump wiring and fuse being to small from factory, sound right? If so I do I fix it?

 

its easy put a 20amp fuse in the air pump place in the fuse box
the old one should be blown if this new one blows put a 25amp
it happened to me and i put a 20 amp and it hasnt blown for 2 weeks

 

I believe there was a recall for the air pump problems you both describe. The solution was to put a new air pump on it. Check into that, if I'm right, it'll cost you nothing to get it fixed right.

 

Interesting, I just replaced the 20 amp for the air pump in my 94 about 3 weeks ago. That stupid SES light was driving me nuts, no one on this board had anything to say about the air pump so it was just by chance I checked it. Thats cool though, I'll have to check the records on this car to see if its been recalled.

 

I've already had the air pump replaced on mine for the recall, but now have this with the SES light on. I try just changing the fuse.

 

Use a larger fuse and increase the gauge wire in the AIR pump circuit, and you should stop blowing fuses.

Although the stock AIR pump retains moisture pretty well, so there's also a possibility it's saturated. Mine took a dump awhile back, so I removed the little bastard totally.
