I got back my pcm hooked it back up, installed battery started it and the ses comes on and stays on. Anyone know why? Can't get a hold of Bryan till 4:00pm eastern time.

 

Is it an OBDI conversion pcm or your stock OBDII? Did you have an SES before the programming?

 

No it is not a OBDI conversion and no it did not have ses on before tuning.

 

well i guarantee he will fix your car for free but you must make an effort first to find out what code you are getting.

 

Get rid of the ported MAF. JMHO

 

I've had the ported MAF on my car for 1 year and never thru any codes.I was fine before tuning.

 

I'm probably wrong about the MAF, but I do believe that the programmers program based on a stock MAF, and some go as far as advising you to reinstall a screened and unported MAF. You might just borrow a stock MAF and slap it on just to eliminate something that might be easy. JMHO

 

Bubba Bryan programmed it with ported MAF.It's not the MAF thanks anyway.

 

I have O2 sims on the back 2 O2 sensor plugs would that possibly do it.Also have egr tube and valve disconnented and air pump removed but I told Bryan about that.

 

Is there any way to find out what code it is without a scan tool?

 

take it to Autozone or any place that scans codes. Autozone will do it for free but can't pick up all the codes.

 

Live in Canada no autozone here.Can't jump any wires and get it flash a code?

 

Not on a 97, you need a scan.

Maybe a shop will do it for you, no harm in asking, right? Or go to the regional boards and see if you can set something up with someone with a laptop, etc.

 

Maybe I will call some shops where I live and see if they can scan it for me.Thanks!
