Question ((serviceenginelight))after long tube install??

hey everybody i just got my headers in and i noticed my service engine soon light is on....well i had to buy a o2 for my passenger side because i couldnt get old one out of the manifold...and i just kept the old one for my drivers sdie header i have them both in now....o yea and on the drivers side i broke the coolent sencor but it still plugs in fine...what can it be ??? im pissed this header install is nothing but pain after pain in my a**...does anybody have an idea what it can be...thanks for the help

Did you do !EGR or !air? If it is obd2 then that can cause it...just a guess though

i got the one with emission hookups and my car is a 94 ..thanks for the guess

Does the car run okay? What is the code? Do you have any blown fuses?

It's possible that you melted the wiring harness on the passenger side that goes between the inner fender well and the header.

i dont have a scanner...so i dont know the code...my o2 harness was melted a little bit but i clipped off all the melted stuff and my o2 still plugs in

Are you open header if so the hot cold heat exchange is going to drive the o2's insane, put exhaust on it and watch the light go away. The same thing happened to me. Mine is a 94 too.

yes im running open headers right now...cool i hope that works tommorow i get my exhaust welded up..thanks that releifs me a bit

My guess is that since your're running open headers, there's no cat there. And since there's no cat, you need to have the rear O2 deleted...or is that only on OBD 2 cars?

just got my exhaust welded up and im pissed my passenger side is leaking and my service engine light is still on

My light stayed on until I unplugged the pcm fuse for 30 mins and popped it back in.
