Serviceability with Tube K member??

Hello
I'm wondering if any of you have worked on anything with tube K-members?
I'm seriously considering buying one cause it's such an ordeal to service anything on the pass. side of the motor. I'm about to mod my car off the deep end, and I'm sure that means much more frequent service in the future.

So is there really any benefit for the poor SOB (me) laying under the car?

Thanks!

Tubular k-member helps out quite a bit actually in servicing your car. The two mods that freed up a TON of space and made the LT1 a piece of cake to work on for me was removing the AC and A.I.R. pump and associated tubes. Have fun with the mods!

I bought my BMR tubular K member for the access, weight savings was secondary. Night and day difference for access!

Exactly! Plus installing headers and it's easy to get to anything even without the tube K-Member even though I want one so bad for wieght and to make it that much easier to work on. I'd recommend getting one but they are so expensive, I want to see if anyone can make me one.

Re: Serviceability with Tube K member??

To those wondering about cost-
I bought a Pro-fab off ebay for $300 + UPS. They retail for $380 everyday thru pro-fab's site. Another $75 or so for chromoly tubing, mine's mild steel so it'll be a few pounds heavier than moly. Apparently some of the other brands include a passenger motor mount in poly, these don't. Everthing else I saw started at $450 and went up.
So do some keyword searching, the seller must order from the factory cause the same ad covers LT1 and LS1. Also- they only show a couple colors, but I asked for hugger orange to match my stripes. They're doing it no additional cost.
$300 is still pretty steep, but I do all my own work, and it's a keeper. And I've got the complete exhaust off the car, so swapping the K member should be a snap. Sometimes the planets just align...........
