Service Engine Light

i have a 95' Z28 and sometimes when my car is running at a low rpm in 6th gear, at say 55mph and like 1500rpms the service engine light will come on. The car always runs fine and when i shut it off the light will go out and stay out. It's only did it a few times since i've had it and i'm not to concerned about it. But what do u guys think it is. Thanks

leave your car on the next time this SES light happens and get it scanned to find out what the code is!

More than likely.

If you get an SES light, don't guess about why, get it scanned (or better yet, buy a scanner).

X2

Guessing the code is a waste of time & money in the long run ~ buy a scanner or go to one of the Auto Parts stores who do it for free.

PS: Rob, you could start a new game show here on CZ28 "Guess the OBD code"

I think you could spray it with some carb cleaner and see if that fixes it. Otherwise it's $150-300 or you can just delete the system (unless you have inspections/smog)
