serpentine trick

Just wondering if there was a trick to getting the serpentine belt on easy. I have been working at it for an hour, and can't get it on the alternator.

Thanks

The last place you want the belt to go around is the tensioner. If it helps, have somebody to hold the belt in place around the alternator. I am able to do it myself though.

make sure you are taking the tension off the tensioner pulley, that will give you the extra room to slip the belt on

I thread it around all the pullies and leave the crank pulley last. Pull on the tensioner for some slack and slip it over the crank pulley. I do this from under the car.
