Serious problems after tranny rebuild!!
Hey whats up guys I just got my car back from the shop after getting my tranny built up. When we pulled it out of the shop, the brake light was on. We messed with the parking brake and it didnt turn the light off. The shop owner took it for a test drive and drove it pretty hard. I was in the car with him and I figured if he gave me a warranty on it, then he knew what he was doing. Anyways, everything seemed fine. The stall converter was something to get used to. After driving it to prom last night, the car wouldn't engage in reverse. Now the car is really hard to move off of the line and de-celerates really quickly. The brake pads are tight on the rotor. Is my parking brake on? Something else that is wierd, while in nuetral and applying gas, the car creeps forward. While in first gear, the car does nothing. While in reverse, it does nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
If the car moves in when you push it in neutral, you gotta a torque converter issue.
What more, For every good experiance i hear about transmission shops, i hear at least 6 bad experiances. I had a problem with the shop that did my clutch. However, they worked with me to get the problem corrected.
I Think if you have the money, just get a new trans, rebuilds usually result in screwed up trans.
