A serious problem with my clutch
A serious problem with my clutch
I need some serious help. I drive a 1994 Camaro z28 (m6). This afternoon I noticed that my shifter was very stiff when I tried shifting through gears. I also noticed that it became increasingly hard to go from a complete stop (neutral to first), especially when I let my foot off the clutch (going into first from a full stop). The car would shutter and make a whining noise (shutter to the point of almost stalling), then slowly pick up speed. Also, there is a very musty burnt smell coming from the engine bay. Does anyone know what the problem might be? Thanks.
Sounds like you make have a bad flywheel/pressureplate.....
If your clutch is chattering like that. What ever you do don't drive it anymore...and if you have to drive little as possible. What you need to do is get to a lift and pull the tranny to see what's going on.
What ever it is the flywheel always tells the story for some reason....
