sensor in the driver head???

sensor in the driver head???

im doin my slp headres and plugs/ wires too. so i was changin the plugs and i see a sensor in the drivers head between the 2 and 4 cyl. what is this and what does it do? and mike if ya read this, quit thinkin what yer thinkin cause i didnt break it.

are you talking about in the engine block?
because that is your water temp sensor sending unit..

it is a coolant sensor, just be carefull when taking it out, i broke two of these and had to replace them when doing my lt's. use a deep-well socket and don't let it slip off, it will snap the plastic end right off and cost you around 25 bucks for each time you screw up!

I broke that one and the one on the water pump... that damn plastic gets brittle, be careful.
