Second Guessing valve adjustment, stupid question inside
Did the LT4 conversion, and am having all kinds of trouble getting the BLMs off 108. Have tried a lot of things, see little progress here and there, but nothing major.
I am wondering if I have my valves set too tight / too loose.
If I was to let the motor sit over night, pull the valve covers, loosen all the rocker arms and start over, will the lifters still be pumped up and I won't get a false reading when spinning the pushrod? Do I need to have any type of preliminary pressure build up after I loosen the rockers before I start tightening them back down?
I understand how everything works, just sort of in the dark when it comes to bleed off of hyd lifters.
The motor is really strong, have a melling high volume pump, so know I am getting great oil pressure, rockers aren't really noisy at idle, but trying to get everything right is a pain in the butt.
Thanks.

When I did this, I took the coil wire off and turned it over a few times. This gets the oil circulating throughout the motor and pumps the lifters. I dont think its that big of a deal but a little extra insurance always helps.
