Seaform???

Hey guys whats up, I just put a can of seafoam in my tank thinking it would clear things up. But now my car seems to run worse? Do you think the fuel filter is clogged now or something? Any ideas.

Re: Seaform???

you may have loosened some junk up in the tank which clogged the fuel filter.

Re: Seaform???

You said the car 'seems' to run worse - in what way? Lack of power? Does something sound different?

Re: Seaform???

It stumbles a little bit more when im not giving it gas. I just put a fresh tank of gas in so I'll see how it feels. It feels like the car needs some injector cleaner if that makes sense.

Re: Seaform???

seafoam is an injector cleaner, supposed to be one of the best, comparable to techron. I would just fill up on premium, should solve all problems.

Re: Seaform???

The problem with seafoam is when you use it, it takes all the junk and puts it right into your filter. Just with the deep creep it puts all that carbon on your spark plugs, o2 sensors, engine oil
So be careful

Re: Seaform???

Oh, I didn't realize you had a v6, I used to have a v6 with magnaflows, and with the cat installed it sounded okay, but I can imagine what it would sound like with no cat............

Re: Seaform???

What fuel filter and PCV valve *from autozone part numbers would be great* are for a 97 Formula?

For the PCV valve I pulled up PCV107

and for the fuel filter I pulled up FF508

I went to Shoebox's website and did a parts search, copied his part no.'s into the autozone search and pulled up these parts, are they any good?
