Seafoam and EGR

I went to NAPA yesterday to pick up a couple cans of Seafoam. The guy at the counter said I should use it to clean the EGR passages as well. He didn't know how to do it on an LT1, however. Has anyone every heard of this? Thanks...

Since our EGR is located in the rear, and you would have to buy a new gasket when you remove it.... Dont worry about it.... Just use the brake vacuum hose to suck it into the intake...

Nah you shouldnt need a new gasket... the EGR's metal gaskets seem pretty tough. I just bought a new egr and put it in today. The old gasket looked almost as good as the new one in. It shouldnt tear or anything (unless its been on a long time or tightend way more then it needed to be )
