scraping noises from engine compartment
Hey guys-
A terrible scraping noise from my engine compartment has developed. It's an almost constant metal on metal grind that increases with the engine RPM. I have a 94 Z28 with an auto transmission. Anyone have any idea what it could be? Thanks and let me know.

Take the belt off and start the car. If it doesn't do it then, check all of the pulleys and accessories. If it still makes the noise, check the flywheel or flexplate (I don't know which you have because you haven't provided any info about your car at all) for cracks, missing bolts, etc.
