scanning an OBD1 conversion car

will the free scanner at autozone work on my car
a 96z28 that has been converted to OBD1 by pcmforless?

If they have a scanner that will work on a 95 then it should work.

do OBD1 and OBD2 have the same connector?

The 95 obd1 cars share the same connector as the OBD2 cars. You will need a scanner for a 95 car to check to codes on your 96 that has beed converted to OBD1.

You think AZ is confused when they try to scan a normal 95 f-body, wait until they try to scan a 96 that has been converted to OBD-I. It will likely be beyond their comprehension.

Since they only scan real OBD-II cars anway, I doubt they will be able to help you.
