SB2 LT1...It's almost there

It's getting close now. A little more work at the body shop to fab up the airbox in the hood and then in goes the interior. Go back over all the nuts and bolts and head down the track.

Thanks. I wish I had pics of the drag setup. 29.5x11.50's, skinnies, bogarts, chute, window net.

As for what it will run. It has the power to go high 8's on spray

380 intake / 260 exhaust with 2.15"/1.650" valves. They flow 304 at .400 lift.

I'm curious about your fuel setup. I see you have a device that is bolted to the front of the water pump: is this a fuel pressure regulator or an actual fuel pump? I was thinking if it was a fuel pump and you engineered it to run off the water pump driveshaft that that was damn clever.

Re: SB2 LT1...It's almost there

It is a fuel pressure regulator, standard Aeromitive EFI bypass type. It just looks like it's bolted to the water pump. We have the A1000 pump for the fuel side, there is a pic of it up above mounted below the cell, and another low pressure pump for the nitrous. They do make mechanical fuel pumps that run off the front of the motor though.

Re: SB2 LT1...It's almost there

Thanks. No it's not a daily driver It gets about 11 mpg and it's all 110 since it's 13.5-1. We did put a 22 gallon cell in it so we can go for fairly good trips from home with it. I doubt I'll get too far without harrassment though. Exhaust is dual oval 4" with Spintech shootout mufflers truning down under the seats. It sounds...healthy.
