Saw something that i've never seen..HELP!!

I was at a car show this weekend and found a bunch camaro lover's like myself. One of these cars was a 95 z28, I noticed that on the driver side of the engine right above the fuel rail there was a block box. I have never really paid this much attenetion to it but it got me thinking. What is that?? Maybe you guys could help me out and tell what it is for?? I wish i had a picture but i don't.

More than likely it was traction control box.

Pontiacfan makes custom ones; I think he does Lt1 as well as LS1, but I could be wrong.
