Is this safe?

Would it be safe to run 1.6rr's on a stock IMPALA lt1 with a set of valve springs from a 94 camaro?

Re: Is this safe?

Some people will say you can, but I definetely wouldn't. If you are going to replace the valvesprings, get the right ones. Find a set of used hotcam springs at least.

Re: Is this safe?

Well i know the impala cam with 1.6 rockers would make the lift 0.446 intake and 0.459 exhaust. The stock camaro cam that was used with the springs with 1.5 rockers is 0.450 intake and 0.460 exhaust........ i was wondering if it would cause damage or not work even though the lift is virtually the same that it saw from the factory. Reason im asking is i have a impala engine in my 94 camaro and swapped the iron heads or the alums from the old engine but left the stock cam.
