Angry Running rich!!!

I have had a running rich problem for a while now. I have put in new plugs, fuel injectors, and a cat on. I am not running an ses light all of the time. When I hit it a lot on one trip I notice that it will pop on and go off when I calm down for a little. Need help ASAP! I am running out of money and need to get it fixed. This car is my daily driver.

How old are your O2 sensors?Do you have any exhaust leaks? These will cause a rich condition.Check your fuel pressure at the schrader valve.

My O2 sensors have been on the car since it was off the showroom floor. It has near 120,000 miles on it now. But I don't have money to keep guessing and putting money into it and not fixing it. Any way I can find out if they are bad?

Are you sure it's not normal. Our cars are designed to run a little rich.

Like I can smell gas heavily. It makes my bumper black ( I have a white car ). My friend has the exact same car as I do and his doesn't do this.

Actually when I got the cat put on the exhaust guy said it had a slight exhaust manifold leak on the pass. side. Could this be doing it? What could I do to fix it.

Mine does the same thing but never a light. I'm pretty sure it's just 02's. Those are only good for around 100,000. I'm still waiting for my MAC headers to get here then I'll get them.

Sounds like your missfiring on 1 or 2 cylinders and its spitting out the unburn fuel into the exhaust..

Get an infrared temp gun, and hit each header/manifold primary with it. The ones that are a lot colder then the rest are misfiring. Check THOSE wires/plugs carefully, as that's where your problem lies.

But I just got new plugs put in. How hard would it be to put new wires on with the headers still on? I have heard horror stories about that.

Many things can cause a cylinder not to fire properly...opti/spark plug gap/plug wire/anything in the ignition...

I would just pull your plugs after letting it run a while and see what they look like.

What can I do to find out without spending a lot of money on stuff I don't need. I have already put in around $700 or so trying to fix it and nothing yet. I have very little money left because I don't work (That is what I need it to be running right for).

I am thinking of doing the wires. Like I have said I had the plugs done about 250 miles ago so I don't believe it is the plugs. Or should I do the O2 sensors. To tell the truth I don't even know where they are. Or should I get the ex. man. leak fixed. What should I do to fix it? Need help and tell me your est. cost on everything. Because like I have said I have near nothing in money.
