hey guys, about 2 weeks ago i installed new 02 sensors which seemed to get rid of a raw gas smell i would get under heavy throttle driving. just today the smell has seem to come back when i drive the car hard and my gas mileage is suffering. what can i do to fix this problem? can they tune my car somewhere to even out the air/fuel ratio or something of that sort? thanks for any help/tips.

This just started happening out of the blue? Then you changed the O2's and it went away and then came back?

What mods happened in that time? What have you done different?

 

yes this just happened out of the blue...maybe it could be a leaking fuel line? but i figured my gas consumption would be even worse or my car would've lit on fire already. i have an electronic cutout but that was put on around march and i had already smelled gas before that, the cutout just seemed to amplify the situation. but the gas smell is REALLY strong when i come to a stop with the windows down, kinda makes me feel sick. i gotta figure this out. thanks for any help.

 

Check your gas cap to see if it's screwing on all the way. Sometimes my cap doesn't go on right, and I smell gas fumes when i'm driving around.
