Running LS1 O2 sensors on LT1, will it work if you splice on the LT1 connectors?
Here's the deal. My car currently has some stupid Bosch O2 sensor on it. I don't trust their readings (which are not overly close to eachother), and a lot of people say the Bosch O2's are junk.
BUT......I'm broke. I don't have the money to dump into new O2 sensors; just can't be doing that.
BUT, I do know some low mileage LS1 guys who have been doing long tubes and catless Y-pipes while yanking their rear O2's (and of course reprogramming).
But the LS1's use a different connector. Will they work if I hack off the LS1 connector and solder on the LT1 connector? I mean, the LS1's still use a narrow band heated O2, so I don't see there being much of a difference. Seems like a cheap way to get a set of O2 sensors to me.
