Running a Cam without a Tune??

I just had a new cam put in my car. The TPIS ZZ409 to be exact. I haven't had a chance to get it tunned, and I don't know when I will have a chance. I'm wondering if it will do much harm to the car if I don't get it tunned right away? I'm talking like 4-500 miles tops. Thanks.

When I had not gotten my tune I got fuel in the gas from running so rich, most likely happening to you to put that short trip shouldnt hurt just change your oil every thousand miles.

I assume you mean fuel in the oil. If so doesn't that mean there is enough fuel it was probably wiping the oil off the cylinder walls maybe not.

You are correct. If fuel is getting into the oil, it is being pushed by the rings and down the cylinder walls. I didn't even really think about it since I was too busy picking at the "fuel in the gas" statement. If you have fuel in your oil, that's not a good thing. I definately wouldn't run it very long like that as it will wear down your rings.

So now you're getting oil in your gas? Now that takes some serious talent, or maybe just some serious problems.
