car starts up 5 tics later the check light comes on, i drive it for 3 miles then it starts back firing (alot) and dies. hard to start but it does after 5 or 6 cranks maybe and still runs bad opti or not. before someone says go get the code read, the car wont make it down to the shop.

 

could be a lot of things, but I'm leaning toward a bad injector or fuel pump. I would still start by checking the codes. Then if that doesn't give it away, check the fuel pressure.
