Actually we as "advisers" have to quit thinking that the simple items have been looked at and ask that question to begin with.

But then when we ask others if they checked the air filter, they usually get irate. I once had an argument with someone on this board that swore a wet air filter would not cause a problem. Which BTW is easily done since the air filter is so low in the car and many cut holes in the box thinking they're getting more horse power or some such non sense.

 

Chuckle. If you go back and read the verty first post the OP talks about a single cylinder not firing or looking lean. It's a big leap from a dirty airfilter to a single lean cylinder...so much of a leap that I doubt the air filter change actually fixed it. Better check it again....

 

the issue is still here. im running rich.... i just have no responce and my friends stock 99 gt mustang walks ALL over me.... sorry for not looking in obvious spots to start with.

any advice at all for me.... i changed all 8 injectors to known good ones..... pig rich still

thought a stop'd up air filter fixed it but im still on square one
