RR's

How hard are the is it to put in rr's i hear they fit under the stock valve covers

Depends. The more specific you are about the type and brand of RRs, the more specific the responses.


Some brands require a little bending cover metal to accommodate. Non-self aligning will require hardened push rods and quide plates. Self-aligning, no.

Larger, e.g. 1.6 rockers should have stonger springs which requires spring installation.

All depends...

you can run 1.6 SA rockers on stock springs with no problems.

Yes, you defiantely need hardened pushrods when you are running NSA rockers with guideplates.

Have you done this? How much lift can the stock springs take? I beleive the stock cam life is like .450.

Do you really need hardened push rods?
The 94 LT1 already had hardened pushrods. But all other years will require hardened pushrods if you run NSA rockers.

ive been running 1.6 SA rockers on my car for a little over 5k miles...

and all '94's didnt have hardened pushrods...yea some did as well as some in '95...
