Question are RR hard to install?

I'm wanting to install 1.6 RR and all I've really done to my car so far is BBK headers, Moroso CAI, and FlowMaster exhaust, but now I'm wanting to expand. Is it very hard to put them in... are their any 'tricks' I should know about? Any pointers would greatly be appreciated.

Where you at in Japan? I spent some time in Iwakuni. About the rockers, if they're self aligning, nothing special. If they're not you'll need pushrod guides, hardend pushrods.

I spent 6 years in Misawa. I just PCS'd to Beale AFB in CA less than a month ago. Were you in the Corps?

As for the rockers, if I get self aligning then I don't need anything special at all, just the rockers?

Most people would recommend that you have decent valve springs to go with the 1.6 rockers, as you are pushing the limits of stock springs.

Self aligning would negate the need for guideplates and hardened pushrods. Installation is not really any harder than setting the valve lash.

installing RRs aint bad... its the upgraded valve springs that can be somewhat of a PITA if you go with dual coil springs over LT4 springs or something small.

I forgot about the valve springs, even with a stock cam. Like Soebox said, might want to upgrade to be safe.
Yea, I was in the Corps. After Viet Nam extended my tour 6 months. Japan was great, $3 for a piece of ***, .10 for a shot of whiskey at the club. What a life.

Thanks for the advice about the springs. I didn't even think about them.

Japan's sure not that cheap anymore. Now its about 5000 yen (about $45) for a piece of *** and about 600 yen ($6) for a shot. You'll go broke on a night out now!

I appreciate the help, thanks.

93/94 LT1s came stock with hardened pushrods, maybe 95s too. I don't remember for sure.
Self aligning RRs have been reported to be noisier than standard type rockers. May require the LT4 knock sensor.
For a stock cam, LT4 valve springs will be adequate and they're cheap, under $30 a set.
