Best price for FLPs?

Hey fellas,
I've decided to wait a while before I get ported heads. I feel that its better for me to lay a solid foundation for my future mods.
I'm going to order some LTs. I need to know if there are any business out there that has a great price on FLPs or should I just order them straight from the factory.

Thanks

Tim

keep an eye on the bulletin boards on mfba.org. That's where FLP posts specials.

Dynatech lt are the same as FLPs without the cats and y pipe. The only thing is that you will have to weld the collects on. But they are cheap, I think just under $800.

I had the FLPs for my LS1, loved em, going to do them on my LT1 too. Have you noticed how painfull it is to save for these things though I really hate the fact that most headers out there require you to buy a ypipe or fab something and mix match a bunch of crap up. thats why i was willing and still am to pay the extra bucks for a complete, high luster, high power system.

Well fellas,
I got in touch with Mitch c/o Smokn'94Z.
I was told that FLP are on back order until April. He has sold out and has to wait for the new batch to come in.
Great guy to work with.
I considered the Dynatech, but I'll just cough up the extra dough just to keep things simple(ya know--a one stop shop kinda thing)
I also scrolled over to mfba.org c/o merin123. I didn't see any specials at this time.
I agree saving for LTs or any big HP mod is a PITA and takes forever esp. when you have other bills, a wife, a 4 month old baby girl etc, LOL
I'll be ordering a set from Mitch when the new shipment comes in.
This will shackle me about 3-4 more years to my credit card company.

Thanks for the help everyone

Tim

I've found the FLP's as high as $1250 and as low as $1249. I'd be interested in a GP if we could get it for at least $1248. Actually I'd be buying these in April myself if my cash wasn't already going to the United States Treasury.

Tim, why don't you call some vendors to see if they have any in stock...I would, unless Mitch is gonna give you a real good price.

But...I'm just wondering how he can sell them to you for less than what most vendors are charging because I would think that it would probably pi$$ a lot of those vendors off.

96SFLZ,
I called other venders a while back before I actually made up my mind to get a set. As mentioned above, the prices are pretty much the same everywhere. Now that I'm for sure that I'm getting a set, most vendors are out of them, lol
Well, I don't want to open a can of worms, but Mitch will work with a customer, not saying other vendors won't. (That's all I'm going to say about that) We spoke on the phone and I liked the way he treated me.
With the LTs coming in April, it works out perfect for me because I had a few unexpected "things" come up. So everything is working itself out.
Bastardcat, I was thinking what your thinking about a GP, but for some reason, the Vendors don't want to do one on FLPs.

Take Care Everyone

FLP doesn't do group purchases on their headers. I think the reason vendors won't either is because they never have enough in stock to actually do a group purchase. Nearly 2 years ago I had to wait 7 weeks for my headers to be ready.
