rpm drop

when i get on the gas then let off and just coast the RPMs are at 1500 then when i just tap the brake they drop to 1000, is this normal or is something wrong?

well the trans and gear keep the r's up when ur rollin after hittin the throttle the combo of that and the vacuum...Then when u hit the brake all the vacuum goes into the brakes...
