rpm capability
rpm capability
I hope some one here can help me. I do not have a lt-1, but I have a late model 4 bolt roller motor. My problem is that the motor floats the valves at around 6200-6300 rpm. The motor has 2.055 intake,1.6 exhaust, double roller springs matched for the cam, AFR Hydra-Rev kit, Comp custom grind 236 242 112 .530 .550 with 1.5, crane roller rockers, the spings have regular locks and retainers. The motor pulls very hard to this rpm and I though i should to about 6700-7000 out of thiswith the rev kit and the proper spring. Theheads have been ported and have flo #'s equal to 195 afr's. for igition Ihave mallory dis, hyfire al box
What i am wondering is what rpm other people are getting, I know you are limited with opti. I need to knoew if i should go with solid roller. What also bothers me is that my co0-workers has a late model roller motor with a bigger hyd roller with out a rev kit he just has srings for a solid lifter cam and he shifts at 6700 rpm with otu any light weight valve train.
