Hi,

All of the sudden, my RPM can not go above 3000 and my Supercharger Boost gage is going into minus reading !
it reads -15 (Vaccum) and if I rev more it will even go down further. If i go easy on the car it will change gears normally but if I rev the engine the RPM will get stuck on 3000-3500 and can not change gears and as I said the boost gage goes into vaccum instead of Pressure!

Is this a serious supercharger leak or something ?

I have the 4.5 Powerdyne supercharger.

 

That means you are getting no boost. It is producing vacuum like a normaly engine would. Not sure why you cant rev over 3500 though. I would check for a blown intake boot.

 

I was reading some old posts and I think the best way to describe my problem is to say that "the car miss at or around 4k RPM" !

If I go easy on the car and below 4K, all gears shift normally.

If I floor it, it will shift 1 to 2 and will pull great but as soon as it reach around 4K rpm engine miss (car doesnt pull no matter how much u push on gas paddle) and it doesnt shift to 3rd gear unless i bring the rpm low and go easy on it again.

Any ideas ?

 

If you see vacuum at full throttle, your air filter or an inlet hose is sucking shut. Check your filter first as it will often cause the rest of the system to collapse if it causes a restriction.

 

Problem is solved and guess what !

I found a plastic bag wrapped around the filter of the supercharger in the below area of the front bumper! how it got there ? no clue
