Hi, i have a couple of questions. First of all I'm thinking about putting some 1.6 rocker arms in and I was just wondering if I also needed to change my valve springs or if I would get any noticeable hp gains from just the rr's? If so about how much. Also is there much difference from the vortec for about 150.00 you see on ebay and the much more expensive crane? Also, I took my valve covers off to re-torque my head bolts and on the passenger side I had a little rust from the condensation build up. Will a breather eliminate this? One more question, and it might be a stupid one, but I want to be sure I bought some AAMCO synthetic blend transmission fluid today. It says its for an automatic and mine is a manual transmission. The guy at the parts store said he thought it would be ok but I wanted to make sure (all they had was automatic). The bottle says it exceeds Dexron III/Mercon. thanks and let me know. Oh yeah I have a 94 z28 with 95,000 miles on it.

New valvesprings are a really good idea and I think a member on the board posted a little while back he got something like 15rwhp + from 1.6 rockers. Do a search and see what comes up.

 

yeah I know its alot. Could someone let me know if that transmission fluid is ok.

 

The fluid should be ok.

 

Anything meeting Dexron III specs is ok for the manual tranny.
