Roller rockers..

I've done the searches on this site and several others for what seems like days now, and still i have a question.

1. Full roller rockers vs just roller tip? makes sence the full rollers will be better but am i right?

2. which brand makes less noise. I've read several posts on this and it seems like they all do to some extent. I'm starting to eye CC pro magnums 1.6? I'm thinking they are cheap enough and might be quiet? I think i had a set of swapmeet (thats what i call the generic brands) brand of roller rockers and they made a lot of engine noise. Seemed to make more than the exhaust did.

thanks

Full roller is better, most agree not to waste money on roller tips. CC pro magnums sound like a sewing machine under the hood.

+1 on the sewing machine. The CC pro magnums make a lot of little clicks. Also the stock valve covers need a bunch of mods to fit over the 1.6's...

Yep, sewing machine sound here. Not really hard to mod the valve covers though, takes only a couple minutes.

with respect, "a bunch of mods" is not accurate.

would the crane gold rockers, or the scorpions be more what I'm looking for. Those are the ones most rocker arm post talked about but nothing on their noise. Or give me another that isn't so loud.

Steel185:
I used the Crane Gold 1.6 self aligning rockers ... very light "sewing machine sound (can't hear it in the car) and no modifications to the rocker cover were necessary.

I had to cut the webbing out and also dent the covers out from the inside to get them to clear the covers. I also have a higher lift cam though. This time when I build the motor, I'm going with tall valve covers...

The cc promags are pretty loud. Im thinking about swapping to some Scorpions as Ive heard they are one of the quietest. I really hate under-hood noise
