Which Roller Rockers?

I'm going to be installing a cc306 and I was wondering which 1.6rr's to get. Anyone know what timing chain set would be good for this set up as well, i'll also be adding an electric water pump?

Im going to be running (going in the motor now) the Comp Cams 1.6 Pro Mags NSA with GM guide plates and the Cloyes double roller timing chain. Cloyes makes the heavy duty timing chain for GM.

I would step up to the Comp NSAs and guideplates. As for the timing chain, I would either do a Cloyes double roller or the LT4 ED timing set.

I've got 60K miles on my CC Pro Magnums and never had any issues. My friend runs the Crane Golds (aluminum) and they're much noiser than mine.

Here's another vote for the NSA CC Pro Magnums, and make sure you get the GMPP guideplates or a set of adjustable ones, I think its Isky that makes them. I went GMPP. Don't forget to make sure you pick up some springs that can handle the cam without issues, and a set of chromoly pushrods. Almost forgot, go 7/16 rocker studs and rockers.

something to think about...

If your eliminating the mechanical water pump you can use about any chevy small block timing chain or gear drive! The mechanically driven water pump is the only difference between LT1 and regular small block timing chains.
On my last LT1 I had a pete jackson gear drive and never had any problems other than knock retard due to the noise, but a knock sensor tune out fixed that. Oh And i vote on the crane golds! no modification to the valve covers required. If they are noisy then they aren't adjusted right!

I believe the Pro Mags are a little stronger and it only took me a few minutes with a set of pliers to straighten out the lip on the valve cover braces so that the rockers clear them.
