Roller Rockers

How much of a difference in idle and power is there with a set of 1.6 roller rockers? Looking for a cheap easy sorta quick attitude adjustment. What are the lift changes with the stock cam? Thanks!

HARD TO SAY? SOME PEOPLE SAY 5HP OTHERS 17 HP. BUT TO USE ANY 1.6 ROCKER ARM IN A LT1 YOU MUST ALSO CHANGE THE VALVES SPRINGS ! tHATS WHY I HAVE DONE THIS , YET.

I'm not sure about the horsepower gain but I put in a set of LT4 springs and you might want to go with the LT4 knock sensor too.

Was thinking about the same stuff for my car. If I got the correct STOCK cam lift numbers they look to be @1/5 .450/.460 and with the 1/6 .480/.491
I'm not sure how correct this was as I havn't found the specs on the cam and done the calc myself. I found it on a website somewhere.. if you want it i might be able to find it in my thousand bookmarks.
Also LT4 KM part number is 16214681 (also found somewhere so if it's not right then don't yell at me )
This should add a decent amount of power I would think, but then again I don't have dyno numbers to back up my theory.

Also if enough of yall are interested in getting some 1.6 rockers maybe we could get a group purchase or something going. I don't need mine anytime soon, but will want them prolly within the next month.

I think I actually lost HP going to 1.6RRs.. even with the lash properly adjusted, they clack a lot. And even with my lt4km, its pulling timing..

if your 1.6 RR's are clacking; i am almost positive that you don't have the lash adjusted properly. I though the same thing once; however, i went and gave it a double check and 3 rr's were loose. If i were you i would make sure that nothing is loose.

Just how loud were your rockers? Could u hear them clacking and clinking real loud from inside the car or with the hood closed?

Did you adjust the rockers while the engine was on?

After installing my 1.6rr's and lt4 springs I picked up almost 2mph in the 1/4. And my car pulls alot better on the toppend

Ideally you should gain more topend hp as ba96ta did. I would recheck the adjustments, def shouldn't loose any power.

Also yea I would be up for a group thing if we can get a good price.. if you think a lot of people would be interested then we can make a post on the group purchase page.. For right now i'm just looking for some SA 1.6 roller rockers for the 3/8ths stud.
Although if everyone else wants to get something else i'm up for options.. price always makes me choose differently of course..

let me know :-)
