Roller Rocker success
Roller Rocker success
Spent all day in my buddies shop swapping out my stock roller rockers. Took me a good 4.5 hours. Swapping the rockers was the easy part, getting those @)#* valve covers off was a job. Anyone thinking about doing a swap, make sure you got the time, tools, and patience. I'm running crane 1.6 rockers on stock springs. Everythings running great w/ no problems yet whatsoever. Stock covers went back on w/ no problem. I haven't punches it really hard yet though. Besides getting new springs any thing I can do to help prevent valve float or coil bind?

Hey dont take it personally, i didnt mean it that way. Everyone has their skills in some area or another. As for me being a mechanic, ha! I tend to break stuff more often that i am able to fix it. lol
Dont forget, it takes a while on a bone stocker without all the vacuum lines/egr/other bulll****, most of us probably have that removed already so its just a matter of 3 bolts on the alt and then 8 cover bolts and thats it. i just did rockers on my buddys car and it took me quite a while to get the pass cover off after i got the alternator off.
so is the swap on a stock motor worth it? cause i have a set of roller rockers of an LT4 that i was planning on putting on my car for a quick free mod for a few ponies. will they make any performance difference? do they cause more harm than good on a stock motor? would the LT4 KM help anything with them? thanks.
