Roller Rocker Questions Inside, someone please chime in!

Looking at doing roller rockers next, all I have now is a cutout and induction (plus the free mods), and I am thinking this is a good way to make some power while strengthing the valve train at the same time.

I can install the r/r's myself, but I am wondering how much gain these will yeild with stock headers/cam.

Also, do I need springs at the same time, and pushrod's?

I would like to belive I could run the stock cam/springs, but with 1.6 roller rockers.

One last thing, would I need self adjusting or non-self adjusting r/r's?

Thanks,
James

First off, comp cams self aligning promagnum 1.6 rollers. Second you can run them on a completely stock engine, with headers and exhaust and intake you could yield up to 25 hp just from the rockers, most likely not, but its been heard of before. They will not strengthen your valvetrain at all, if anything they will unstablize it, its not to a point that you have to worry about it unless you are revving past 6500 which you arent. If you want you can replace the springs locks retainers and that will give you more pressure to keep the roller tip on the valve, but its not needed until you get a cam. hope this answers everything.
