Re: roller rocker knock

Good luck trying to quiet them down, I adjusted mine (self-aligning) 5 times, then gave up and went back to regular rockers. I could not handle the racket.
In my case the 10HP was just not worth sounding like a 15 year old Toyota.

In the future, I'm gonna try the non-self aligning ones, with a set of LT4 vavlecovers.

Re: roller rocker knock

You need to find out what brand of lifters you have, too...The stock type lifter will require you to go 1/2 turn past zero lash on the rocker adjustment nut. But if you have Comp Rs its a different setting...My car has stock type lifters and with the cam I have it sounds like a sewing machine and thats normal...Its real hard to diagnose anything online without seeing the car...Have a competent mechanic have a listen and maybe you and him can adjust them...
