Anyone here have a cc305 on a 110 lsa?
Anyone here have a cc305 on a 110 lsa?
I think this cam would be able to make some decent power and allow me to keep my 1.7 rr's. I am also hoping that this cam will give me a lower power band and allow me to shift at 6200 or so and still make around 345rwhp. What do you guys think?

You dont need to have that cam on a 110 to do that. There are several guys on this board including me who run the off the shelf cc305 and do exactly what you are looking for.

I've already owned a 305 on a 114 and would like to make just a tad more power and be able to shift it lower. I don't think that a 110 lsa is really that radical on a 305 and it would probably perform fairly well.

Rather than trying to make up your own cam, why don't you talk to a professional and tell them what you are trying to do and get a recomendation.

Unless you stroke it.

Tests within, comparing like cams with changes in lobe seperation only....

.......If you want to talk generalities, the tighter LSA will make more avg tq and hp in the lower revs and may make for more fun on the street where as the wider lsa will pull harder from mid rpm to high and will hold on further past peak tq. This is all considering an identical engine... just the cam swapped. 2º one way or the other is not worth much IMO and there is some truth to what 96caprice is saying in terms of using lsa to run a larger camshaft. David Vizard has been saying the same thing for years and he's been around the block a few times. Pay attention to your dynamic compression and see how these changes effect it. Software can help.... trends are your friends. ...

Thanks for the link mindgame. I think 110 lsa would be the way to go after reading what vizard had to say. The 305 on a 110lsa will still idle and drive much better than my 306 because the 305 has an overlap of 5 and the 306 has an overlap of 13. Vizard said that having too wide (114) of an lsa will most likely have more of a negative effect than too tight (110) of an lsa. Maybe an lsa of 110 is optimal for this cam.. who knows. I chose this cam because I know it performs well and I am limited to what I can do because of my 1.7 rr's. I will keep everyone updated with dyno numbers when I do this.
