Roll bar for convertibles?

Who makes a nice roll bar for convertible Camaros?? Our local drag strip goes by NHRA regulations and in those is if you run 13.99 or faster in a convertible you need a roll bar. And seeing as how she ran a 14.0 this year, plus we have a 2800 Vig converter, CAI, 3:42's, MAFT, and a Crane ignition on the way for her, she will easily break the 13.99 rule. On a cooler day she probably would have this year. Also after a near miss this year at my local track they are cracking down on the rules next year. No longer will they let it slip. So who makes a nice roll bar? Thanks!

If your track is really picky about NHRA regulations, just make sure whichever vendor you chose actually states that the rollbar will meet NHRA specs. I *think* Wolfe does.

dreamer1q - I notcied on your website that you have a red Z convertible, the same as my wife's. But no pictures of your Z with the roll bar in it. Do you have any pics of the car with the roll bar?? If so, can I see them?? Thanks!

What 60fts did your run that time with..what altitude is your track.
So far got the time in my sig but not track time just tazzo vpc time.Although took my 80 to the track and tazzo was 1 tenth faster or slower forget now and 2.5mph faster..60ft was dead on though.
I got that time stock and the 60ft was bad..only had time for run or two that day before put it away for the winter.
I have the stuff in my sig to put in and may still get a few more goodies by spring..asp pulleys probably.Have 3.42 to put in from my 99 when it gets a 12 bolt and likely also get a stall too for it.
So you are modding your wifes car too eh? LOL
I plan on getting her car and my 99 kicked off the track in next year or two..hers for under 13.99 and mine for under 11.99 and then don't care..My 80 will get the rollbar and all the track legal stuff ,driveshaft loop, wheel studs..etc. Its not worth putting rollbars in my other cars to go to track couple times a year and think most track legal bars will still be pain to get into and out of..or do nhra tracks allow swing out or removable side bars..??
Kenny brown has a streetcage with nice low out of the way sidebars but not sure if its nhra legal..???

Woah buddy. Easy on the signature. There is a 5 line rule.

80TAWS6 - Her 60ft time on that best pass in my sig was 2.02X and it was made on Nitto drag radials. Our altitude here is sea level. I live in Canada as well, NL to be exact. Thats one thing that I never asked any of the officials out there.

Yeah with nittos can see that 2.0ish 60ft ..that would cut like 6 tenths off my time and I lose like 3 tenths due to my altitude but was pretty cool the day I ran that time..didn't know about the 5 line rule on sigs..guess won't use it much. I am hoping to due a high thirteen with mods on street tires..that will be sufficient for the vert...

Thats a pretty easy goal. Next thing you know it will be 12's. Then 11's

Thats what Im running now, its not fast enough. Im looking at an 02 SS right now. It will beat my LT1 vert with its stock LS1

I already have an ls1 see my posts above..it should do easy twelves on drag tires.Just ran it on street tires so far..The vert is wifes car..don't tell here I am modding it.. The ls1s are for sure faster than the lt1s stock..around 350 at the engine most of them dyno..compared to the lt1 rating of pretty much there rated power. But to tell you the truth the ls1 bottom end is crappy around town unless you put in some 3.73 or 4.10 gears in the m6 and for sure a stall and some 3.42 or 3.73 in the autos..Then they are pretty nice.
But the lt1 is a nicer looking engine and it sounds a bit meaner than the ls1..especially with a borla..but I don't mind the sound of my ls1 with open cutout!!
