Question rod bearing clearance

for my rods I am looking at .0015 clearance, I would like to be able to take the motor to 6500 and not have to worry about it. is this too tight to be safe? or should i get the x bearings?

Re: rod bearing clearance

Rods-.0025-.0027
Mains-.0027-.003

This is what I use with "H" series Clevitte brgs. A MEASURED(not plastiguage) 1.5 is a bit snug.

Re: rod bearing clearance

Personally I would get a shop to measure it. Putting it together not knowing and have something happen later, sucks.Factory is .0013-.0035. The 13 is way to tight IMO if ya gonna turn any RPM's,.0025 IMO would be the min on both the rod's and main's.
