rocker stud girdle

How do i know if i need a stud girdle and where to get one the cheepest to fit my 94 lt1 heads.

"Need" is a tough one... you'll have to answer that one.
It will stiffen the valvetrain by tying all the rocker studs together. How much that helps is gonna depend on your setup... how many revs you turn, how much spring pressure you have, etc.

Moroso makes a girdle for the centerbolt heads. Check with our Suporting Advertiser Index to find a dealer.

Im only planning on turning 6500 with about .650 lift springs. The machine shop my heads are at right now is saying that i probally should get one. What do you think

I'm hitting 6500 rpm with 600 lift (exhaust) and I havent really "needed" one yet.

I didnt think i would need one but i just wanted to get some experts feed back because using one had not crossed my mind untill the machine shop recomended it
