Revalving necessary for DMS springs ?
Revalving necessary for DMS springs ?
Well I already have my springs (DMS) and I am ready to order the shocks but I am wondering if it is necessary for the best handling to revalve the front shocks.
I don't plan on doing any auto X ing just want to feel more secure at high speeds around turns.
The only place I know that does it is Strano and the shocks aren't exactly cheap and It's another $150 for the valving so ...
I can get the shocks for $275 elsewhere but they are $325 at strano plus the $150
Will I notice a huge difference on the street between revalving or not ?
Thanks
P.S. I posted this in autocross section but without much response.

I guarantee it will be money well spent. Lemme see if I can help you out some more:

Two of the cars below me are 1LE cars. Mine was an 2.73 A4 car. With the help of Sam setting up the shocks and swaybar was able to dominate the class
YMMV

If it's just for street use, I don' see spending the money for revalving. Unless you have specific knowledge of how those particular shocks work with those particular springs in your particualr car with the shocks not revalved, how do you know what you want them revalved to?
I agree with Shoebox. For regular street driving Joe's, like you or me, some Bilstein HD's will more than likely provide what you're looking for.
Minimal adjustments like that will generally only be felt/noticed by people that race their cars around a track regularly.
