REplacing opti: what gaskets, seals needed?

SO I am biting the bullet, and doing an opti swap. What is needed beside an opti and wp? What are the P/N's for the seals and gaskets?

Theres another thread i think started by Dave88LX that has a chart for what you need.
Right off the top of my head.....
You'll at LEAST need the water pump gaskets. But you should inspect the seals on the waterpump shaft, and also the seals on the timing cover.

I just replaced my opti 2 days ago.

All you need is 2 waterpump gaskets.(you can get at any auto parts store) The opti already came with the o--ring gaskets on it.

It wasn't too bad, only took about 3 hours.

Have fun!

Wait there is a bunch of seal numbers, and i am, of course, super . There is this part no.: 10217886 (Front wp seal) Is this the wp seal?, I know it looks obvious but i am doing this at a friends house 40 miles from my house.

So the wp has one seal? just the one for coolant? or is this one different? I want doubles of every seal just in case. So just tell me if i am wrong. I must have this correct.

BTW, should I get a "1993-1994 front cover opti seal" 10128317, too?

I know the opti comes with its own seals, so am i done?

This set from felpro should have the opti stuff, timing cover, and water pump gaskets: 45953 Last time I got the kit for my car it was about $14 at Autozone.

This is the water pump drive shaft seal in the timing cover.. get 2, they are very tricky..

So the wp has one seal? just the one for coolant? The above seal is for oil, and goes in the timing cover where the drive shaft comes out, not into the water pump body..

2] The Water Pump Drive Shaft Orings [2needed] p/n 12553792 go on each end of the drive shaft..

3] Water pump gaskets[2needed ] p/n 10128343

BTW, should I get a "1993-1994 front cover opti seal" 10128317, too?
4] Timing Cover Opti Drive Shaft Seal p/n 10128317 is correct..

5] Front Crankshaft Seal is p/n 10128316 if you need that while you are that far into it..
I know the opti comes with its own seals, so am i done?
The above, that I inserted in your text, should be what you need...1 thru 4 [or all 5 if you think you need a crank seal..]
Get 2 water pump seals, and a search will tell a few 'methods' of installing it.. I used the water pump drive shaft [cleaned well and oiled] , put the seal onto that, then pushed it onto the drive gear stub that sticks out of the front timing cover with a socket..[at same time it goes into the cover] It can be quite tricky..
Above of course are for 93-94[early unvented opti] The opti seals are different for vented..
