Replacement air filter for Moroso cold air intake
Replacement air filter for Moroso cold air intake
I've got a Callaway Honker (read this is the same as the Moroso now) cold air intake that came on my car when I bought it.
I'm looking to get a spare air filter to keep on the shelf so when I need to come in for an oil change I don't have to wait for hours on end to wash the filter and allow time to dry before re-oiling. Just swap on a clean one and go.
Anybody have a part number for that filter? It is a K&N brand.

The only filter that will fit is the one made now by Moroso. Give them a call or google it, I found easily once before. Seems they wanted $50-60 or so.
IIRC, there is no K&N that will PROPERLY fit.

i think the air filter that fits on the front of the fast burn 385 will fit cause they use a intake like the lt1 that may help ya lil bit , probably can get if from GMPP, i have a moroso CAI and i just clean and dont oil or try to find a AEM dryflow airfilter ,
I think one of the top filters on this page will work:

The filter that is on there now is a K&N brand, so I'm sure it is one of those. I'll have to see if any local stores have one in stock to compare to.
About filters not fitting properly, the filter fits fine on the sheet metal adapter that bolts to the inner fender and the silicone clamp fits alright on the other side too. The area where this intake box doesn't fit is when you try to tighten a hose clamp onto it - it just tries to crush at the split line on the part.
I would probably just be better off buying some aluminum mandrel bends and welding my own round intake piping. Then again, I'll probably forget about this until the next time I need to clean the air filter.
