Replaced Spark Plug, now burning smell!

Ok so i replaced a spark plug on the driver side, forgot what cylinder it is but its the easiest one to replace. So as i was torquing it, my socket fell somewhere into my engine bay and now i cannot find it. But i still managed to put the plug in. I put the wires on and now i have this nasty burning smell coming from that wire. I dont know what it could be, any help would be appreciated.

Check to make sure the wire is not resting on your exhaust. I am guessing you were changing the #1 or #3 plug (those are the easiest IIRC), so you probably dropped your socket onto the engine crossmember. Most of my parts/tools always end up there, lodged near the motor mount and the steering rack.
