Might as well change cams too, sthere is a big question there on which to go with. For a daily driver with a little extra lope I'd go the 224/230 comp cams XE. Headers are a must , go with want you want, but remember the long primary tube headers will give you the largest gains with what you have. Air and EGR can go by the way side if you arent required to have them, unless you keep your cat, then you need em. Computer tune it and verify your fuel systems condition. and let er rip.
Soon after this you'll realize its not enough and you'll go get more money and then suddenly the wife if yelling at ya and your sleeping on the couch
Haha, yeah and might as well throw an all forged 396 in there while your at it, throw on some Twin T88 turbos, and add a little squeeze to get them spooled up.

She won't know any different. I don't think she'll fall for the car needing new 17 x 9 wheels because of an engine problem, but other than that, I'm pretty much set. I just want to do the things that make sense while I'm in there, without going nuts with it. Louder is good, but I don't want to sound like a Nascar stockcar driving down the road. I'd like to do headers, remove cats like some say, but I'm afraid the thing will just be too loud for me.

If you want to keep it quiter you could do the headers, ditch the cats and with the longtubes put a Dynomax bullet in the I pipe along with the muffler out back, will quiet it down quite a bit.
