Replace Dual cats on a 96?

My girlfriend has a 96 formula, and it has clogged cats. Its not just the o2 sensor either. So it is impossible to chop them, but can anyone guesstimate a price to buy new ones and have them installed? The other option is headers and y pipe but I dont want this car to go down that road. Any suggestions by guys who have dealt with these?

Gutting them didnt seem like an option. I wish i could just cut em off, and put sims in, but is that possible on this setup?? The damn cats are right off the manifold.
